Picture Day!

Dear Mom and Dad:

We had a busy day in kindergarten! I took my very first school photo today. Mrs. Ly and hald of Mrs. Dei Cont’s class had drumming today.

Kindergarten had dance today with Ms. Janelle

AM Kg: We did a visual journal page about what a triangle can be.

PM Kg: We had guest teachers today and we are looking at making a graph of the students with the first letter of their name.

Question of the day: What can a triangle be?

 Please take a moment to look at the “important dates” on the left column of the blog.

AM Kg: all orange consent forms need to be returned by Thursday for your child to participate in the O’Canada

ONE WORLD DRUMMING One World Drumming is wrapping up their two week residency with two concerts this Friday afternoon, October 9th. Please join us to celebrate our students at the following times: 1:00 pm, doors open at 12:50 pm - AM Kindergarten. 2:00 pm, doors open at 1:50 pm- PM Kindergarten

NOTE: Dismissal time is 12:00 pm on Friday, October 9th, all students are to be picked up then return for their performances in the afternoon. Please bring your students to their classrooms 15 minutes before their concert time. They will be dismissed from their classrooms following the concert.

Triangle Tuesday

*It is picture day tomorrow!

Dear Mom and Dad:

The AM class had our guest teachers in today. We are working on community building and getting to know our peers. Today we looked at the first letter of our name and tried to get ourselves into groups with other students with the same first letter in our name. We are looking into graphing this information!

The PM class worked on “what a triangle can be”. Ask me to tell you some of the ideas that I came up with.

Question of the day: We have been talking about small problem versus big problems. Ask me to tell you about the pigeon books and how the pigeon makes small problems seem like bigger problems. Post on the blog some examples of a small problem and some examples of a big problem.
