Housekeeping Items

**there is no school tomorrow and Friday.

Today was Mrs. Smith's last day with us :(

It was also Mrs. Bateman, Ms. L and Mrs. K's last day as well :(

You all will become amazing teachers. We wish you all the best! 

We are looking forward to seeing you at conferences tomorrow Thursday December 3 and Friday December 4! Please bring your child with you. It will be very helpful to get the chance to chat with you and your child.

Parents, please arrive on time for your conferences and come into the classroom at your start time. We will do our best to stick to the schedule so that everyone gets their allotted time of 15 minutes. Please note that we each have over 40 students and we are booked back to back. Your child’s visual journals will be in the hallway where you can take a moment before or after your conference to share their work.

The kindergarten lost and found will be right outside our classroom as well. Please take a look at these items. If they are not claimed by the weekend, we will put them in the school lost and found and by winter break they will then be donated.

Gingerbread Decorating (please note the changes in red)

Over the next couple week until Winter Break we will be reading variations of the Gingerbread Man story.  On Thursday Dec. 17 we will be having pajama day and working on using what we know about combinations of 5 and decorating gingerbread people.  We would appreciate one parent volunteer from each class to assist with our decorating.  Please e-mail Sarah, our room volunteer (sarahaxt46@gmail.com) if you are able to help out!

We will also need donations for the following items for EACH AM and PM team:

•   22 x 3 gingerbread people for AM and 20 x 3 gingerbread people for PM

•   1 x 6 large bag of peanut-free Smarties or M&Ms

•   1 x 6 large bag of chocolate chips

•   1 x 6 large bag of mini jujubes

•   3 x 6 containers of white icing

•   1 box of assorted food coloring (that will be enough for the entire triad AM and PM)

Bulk barn is a great place to get these materials!

There is no expectation whatsoever for gingerbread and icing to be homemade - we welcome whatever you are able to send.  Please contact sarahaxt46@gmail.com if you are able to donate.  Thank you!

Parents please make sure all of your child’s belongings are LABELED. There are many items that are duplicates in our classroom and it is very helpful when things are labeled so that they can be returned to the rightful owner. Thank you for your help with this.
