Dear Mom and Dad:
Today we went down memory lane talked about what our favorite memory of kindergarten was. We have had an amazing year. Ask me to tell you what my favorite memory was. We wrote in my journals and I took my journal home today! I also took home my Friday book (please do not send these back)
I can fill up the rest of my journal over the summer to practice my writing for grade one! At this time in kindergarten I should be able to draw a detailed picture to express my ideas. I should also be using writing to represent my ideas as well. I should be using kid writing which is writing down the sounds I hear) to sound out words. I should also be labeling my pictures.
Please take a look at my writing journal with me. Look at the very first page and then look at the page I did today! Please share with me what you notice I have improved on and what I can work on.
