"It's all good" Wednesday

Dear Mom and Dad:

Mrs. Ly and the other half of Mrs. Dei Cont’s class had drumming today.

We looked at a book that had a lot of information about fall. I learned some things about what animals do, what happens to the weather, what happens to the leaves etc.

Today I drew a picture in my journal of what I think I might see tomorrow on our fall walk (Please make sure I am dressed appropriately tomorrow. Layers are always best). Ask me to tell you what colors I used most to represent my fall picture. I then practiced writing the word “fall” on the line in my journal.

We have been reading Pete the Cat books. My teacher says that we should all try to be like Pete the Cat. Ask me to tell you why? We have been talking about what a little problem versus a big problem is. Most little problems I can solve on my own by making good choices. Please read this story with me. Here is a video of the author Eric Litwin reading the book!

Question of the day: What lesson did we learn from Pete the Cat?

Kindergarten

- Dear Wonderful Parent Volunteers:

Thank you again for volunteering for our community fall walk this Thursday October 1 (tomorrow).  Please arrive at the school at the time below through the front doors. You will need to sign in as a volunteer and get a volunteer tag. We will be organizing students in groups and you will each have a group of about 4-5 students. We will be walking all together to the pond but you will be responsible for your group. We will have a scavenger hunt sheet for you to work with your group in finding fall items.

AM parent volunteers:
Our fall walk will be from 9:00am – 10:00am.
Please arrive at 8:30am.

PM parent volunteers:
Our fall walk will be from 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Please arrive at 12:30pm.

- The Terry Fox Run is this Friday. PM kindergarten will be attending. We will be doing the Terry Fox Run with the AM kids on Monday. If AM kindergarten would like to participate on Friday, they will need to come with a parent or guardian and be supervised at all times. The run will start at 10:30am.
If your child is in the AM and returned the pink form for a snack they will receive their snack on Friday if they come for the run or on Monday when we do the run with AM kindergarten.
