Dear Mom and Dad:
Mrs. Ly was away today so we had a guest teacher. Ask me to tell you what her name is.
Today we had a discussion about what PEACE is. We read a book called "What does peace feel like"? We then drew a dove and a peace sign in our journals.
At Cranston School, peace education is an important focus. We are always trying to build a peaceful community in our classroom and in the school. I know that I am part of making this difference.
Question of the day: what does peace mean to you?
Love,
Kindergarten
Housekeeping:
AM has school tomorrow from 8:15am-11:55am
Birthday Celebrations:
**Please note that bringing treats is OPTIONAL. The class sings happy birthday to your child on their birthday.
If you would like to send treats on your child's birthday, please send enough for all three classes as we share one space and we do everything together as one class!
There are 65 students in the AM and 56 in the PM.
Some good inexpensive suggestions are Tim bits, 2 bite brownies, mini chocolates, and mini cupcakes. We do have severe nut allergies in the class so please bring a nut free snack.
Peace means being happy and being kind to others. Max
