Dear Mom and Dad:
AM class: Have you noticed the different signs of spring? Ask me
to tell you some of the things I have noticed. Today we drew in our visual
journals 4 different signs of spring. I had to draw a detailed picture and label
my drawing.
PM class: Today we worked with Mrs. Southworth and Mrs. Quilley.
We are working on community building skills. These skills are so important as
we make the connections outside of kindergarten. We played some games that
helped me learn to take turns and be respectful of others while they are
sharing. We also learned a lot about one another.
Question of the week: What
is a gorilla roll?

GYMNASTICS
We have a “Kids’s Move” gymnastics program in the
gym this week. Students are required to remove their shoes and socks. Parents
please send your child in loose clothing so that it is easier for them to move
around. Please avoid stockings, as these will take long to take off and put
back on. Thank you for your help with this. If your child has long hair, please
tie it in a ponytail as well. Thank you.
AM class: we will be dismissing from the red gym
doors at the end of the morning this week.
SWIMMING
We are going swimming next week. Please make sure
your white swimming consent forms have been returned. Please review the blue
letter that was given to you last month so you know what you need to pack.
AM class: NEXT WEEK, all AM students need to be
at the kindergarten doors no later than 8:00am instead of 8:15am. The bus
leaves at 8:15am so we will be letting the students in at 8:00am. Students
will need to be picked up at the kindergarten doors
at 11:00am.
Drop off: 8:00am at door 2 (kindergarten doors)
Pick up: 11:00am at door 2 (kindergarten doors)
PM class: NEXT WEEK, all PM students need to be
at the kindergarten doors no later than 12:00pm. The bus leaves at
12:15pm. Students will need to be picked up at
the kindergarten entrance doors at 2:50pm.

It's a head first roll in gymnastics. Kyron
ReplyDeleteWhere you stand with your legs wide apart and then you reach your arms down and through your legs. Then you roll over.
ReplyDeleteHannah D said a gorilla roll is when you tuck your head and arms between you legs and roll over.
ReplyDeleteA gorilla roll is a somersault with wide legs!
