A Butterfly is Patient

Dear Mom and Dad:

Ask me to tell you about what stage our caterpillars are in! It is so exciting!

AM class: we looked over what the life cycle of a butterfly is and sketched this in my journal.

PM class: we had a practice lockdown today. Constable Mattice said we did great! Ask me to tell you what I do and where I go if there is a school lockdown.

Question of the day: Why do we say that “A butterfly is patient?” What does this mean?

Love,

Kindergarten

Housekeeping:

Please make sure you have returned the “Jenny Dale” forms for our artist in residence next week.

Soccer forms were sent home (please note these look very similar to the Jenny Dale field trip forms). Please sign and return so your child can participate in our soccer program.

AM kindergarten will be performing at the: Volunteer Tea
Thursday, May 19th
10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Cranston School Gymnasium
We love our volunteers and want to make sure they are celebrated and know how much they mean to us! Without volunteers, there are many, many things that could not happen in our amazing school.

If you are able to attend on Thursday, May 19th please R.S.V.P. to cranston@cbe.ab.ca

  1. We say that “A butterfly is patient" because it grows slowly.

  2. A butterfly doesn't fight to get out of his chrysalis. He waits until he's grown enough to get out.
