**There is no school until Tuesday! Please also read
the housekeeping items for our 100th day celebration next week. It
involves dressing up and collecting 100 items!
Dear Mom and Dad:
Another celebration day in
kindergarten!! Today we celebrated Carnival! This is a carnival that has been
going on for over 100 years in Quebec. Ask me to tell you how to say “hello” in
French. I even got to meet Bonhomme who is the mascot for Carnival.
Ask me to tell what stations
I went to.
Question of the day: Post on
the blog what some of the stations were that you went to.
Love,
Kindergarten
Housekeeping:
We will be celebrating our 100th day of kindergarten on
Thursday February 18!! To celebrate this special day we would like to
ask if:
1) You
could bring one small zip lock bag of 100 things. The items should all be able
to fit in one small size zip lock bag. For example, 100 smarties, 100 small
pebbles, 100 beans, 100 goldfish, 100 stickers, 100 paperclips etc. Plesae note
that the items may not be returned. We will be doing some math with the items.
2) On
February 18th, we are inviting students to dress up as if they were
100 years old! (Completely optional!) Please do not go out and buy anything. A tie, hat, cane, fake glasses, scarves, sweaters, baby powder in hair and hairspray to keep it in tact. These may be found in your child's closet or yours! There are lots of ideas
on the internet. Here are some ideas:
I went to skipping, hockey, parachute, balance boards and painting!
ReplyDeleteNoah
Charlotte went to the potatoe station, skipping and park station.
ReplyDeleteShaheer went to the painting, hockey, skipping and snow soccer centres.
ReplyDeleteHannah D said she went to the hockey station
ReplyDeleteI went to the hockey shoot out and the ring toss! I also saw Bonhomme!
ReplyDeleteCarnival was fun!

Hello Kindergarten!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful time at Carnaval - thank you for being so kind to Bonhomme - he told me both the morning and afternoon Kindergarten classes were 'tres magnifique!' (Maybe you can ask your teachers what that means:)
I am very excited about the 100th Day of School on Thursday and look forward to seeing all your collections AND how you dress up as if you were 100 years old. I wonder if you can guess who is the oldest person in our school?
Have a great weekend!
